Guidelines for Reviewers

The rules of the road for leaving feedback on Hivevote.

We want to hear about your experience! To keep Hivevote a helpful, safe place for everyone, please follow these guidelines when writing a review.

1. Write about your own experience

Your review should be about your personal experience with the business. Don't write reviews on behalf of someone else, and don't write reviews based on things you read in the news.

2. Keep it clean and respectful

We do not tolerate:

  • Hate speech, discrimination, or racism.
  • Threats, bullying, or harassment.
  • Profanity or explicit content.
  • Publishing private information (like an employee's full name, phone number, or address).

3. Be honest and factual

Don't exaggerate or make false claims. If a business proves that your review contains factually incorrect information that harms their reputation, we may remove it.

4. No promotional content

Hivevote is not a place for advertising. Do not include promotional links, referral codes, or competitor advertisements in your review.

5. Conflict of interest

You may not write a review for a business you own, work for, or are affiliated with. You also may not write reviews for your direct competitors.

6. Updating your review

If your experience with a company changes, or you simply made a typo, you can update your existing review from your dashboard. To prevent platform abuse, edits are limited to a maximum of 3 times per review. Every edit is re-scanned by our automated moderation system.

Note: Hivevote reserves the right to remove any review that violates these guidelines, and we may suspend user accounts for repeated violations.
